External Antenna Design Resolves Signal Attenuation in Metal Enclosures
Metal enclosures weaken the Wi-Fi signal from an onboard antenna. The ED-IPC3020E routes the antenna outside the enclosure through an IPEX connector and comes standard with a 2dBi rubber duck antenna, fundamentally improving signal quality.

Tested at 4m and 10m distances
Measured on 7 channels in the 2.4GHz band and 9 channels in the 5GHz band
Outperformed the onboard antenna version at all test points, with a minimum improvement of ~7 dB
At 10m, the average improvement in the 2.4GHz band was ~22 dB, with a maximum of nearly 28 dB
